Greetings from Loren Wiseman

If anyone here says "Who is Loren Wiseman?" I direct them to look at the contents page of any of the GDW T2K books. I was line Manager for Twilight: 2000 when it was published by GDW, and wrote a lot of stuff.

So whuts all this then?

kato13 03-31-2010 01:58 AM

Welcome aboard. I wish to offer you many thanks for the world you helped create which has given us so much enjoyment over the past few decades.

Apologizes again for the typo in the email I sent you, but I am glad you took the effort to make it here. Please if you have anything you wish to ask please feel free to post or PM me.

sglancy12 03-31-2010 02:24 AM

Hey! It's that guy who rejected the Twilight 2000 articles I submitted to Challenge Magazine... oh my god... was it really 20 YEARS AGO?

I was going to be all mad and indignant about your rejection of my articles... but then I just felt old.

Welcome! What we really appreciate is insights into how the project came about and what you have been doing lately. And where can I send all that cash I made on the empties that we drank late into the night why playing your masterpiece!

TiggerCCW UK 03-31-2010 05:09 AM

Welcome aboard, and thank you for your role in creating the game that we all love!

Legbreaker 03-31-2010 05:45 AM

Rainbow Six 03-31-2010 06:31 AM

Welcome to the forum.

And let me add my thanks for your part in creating a product that has given me a lot of enjoyment over many years.

John Farson 03-31-2010 06:46 AM

Welcome,

and thank you for your part in creating Twilight 2000. Although it had a few quirks, I found it to be a chillingly realistic portrayal of something that fortunately hasn't happened (yet).

Any thoughts on Twilight 2013? In a few years that'll be outdated too. Maybe they should just throw caution to the wind and move straight on to TW 2100, with droids, supermutants and powerarmour.:p

Welcome, Mr. Wiseman (may I call you Loren?). Thank you for your part in creating this quaint little game that we all love so much.

I picked up my first T2K boxed set in '86, at the age of 11. My interest waned during my college years but I never forgot about it. I rediscovered T2K about 5 years ago when I found this board's direct predecessor and I've never looked back. I currently GM and play online.

Adm.Lee 03-31-2010 12:03 PM

Welcome, and thank you. It was Twilight:2000 that really taught me how to be a GM.

Jason 03-31-2010 12:18 PM

Awesome sauce. We are drawing all the legends.

Grimace 03-31-2010 06:00 PM

Welcome back to the club of us old-timers and a whole host of "newer" fans of Twilight, Loren! Good to see you back and posting! Hope to read more comments from you on all things Twilight. :)

You (and everyone else) may do so, unless you think it might cause me to be confused with Legbreaker's daughter . . . Loren is the most common male spelling (Lauren the most common female one) but I have encountered two female Lorens in my day, so it is a true mark of distinction.

Legbreaker 03-31-2010 11:53 PM

And she's an extremely intelligent 9 year old too. Maybe it's all in the spelling? :S

boogiedowndonovan 04-01-2010 11:57 AM

welcome Loren!

I still remember on a previous incarnation of this forum, someone new to T2k thought you were a female.

weswood 04-01-2010 03:56 PM

And let me add a hearty Welcome as well. I see Texas on you're info, we've got a few other members spread out over the Lone Star state.
