First, you'll understand the hard work that YOUR parents had to go through (this can be humbling)

Secondly, instinct ensures that all proud fathers become fixated on just how miraculous/wonderful/cute their child is and - if you're not careful - this will dominate your conversation. Which can lead to small social problems and wild inaccuracies.

(Because - no matter what all the other fathers think - all impartial observers accept that MY daughter is the most miraculous/wonderful/cute child in history.)

Thanks for all the congratulations gents, much appreciated. I've attached a photo of Terri-Anne, our eldest, and a picture from the scan of the new wee one as well. Terri-Anne is coming 4 in November and is about to start nursery school. The new wee one will hopefully be joining us around about the 26th of February and I plan to immediately start him or her on Escape from Kalisz :)
