Hmmm.....
I would have thought using the heat form the engine of that bloody great vehicle behind them might have been more productive. I know you can bake a good sized leg of lamb and potatoes that way.... :P

They us to use jeep motors back in the day, I am sure any vehicle that had been stopped had been found way to use the engine to heat up something to eat...lol

I read in a book on tank warfare in the Western Desert that the crews punched holes in the tops of their Meat-and-Veg stew ration cans, poured some curry powder through the holes, and wedged them against the exhaust vents--after a bit of a cruise, the cans were nice and hot.
