OT: The Voyager disaster
 

Today is the 48th anniversary of the loss of the destroyer HMAS Voyager which sank after a collision with the aircraft carrier HMAS Melbourne off Jervis Bay on the night of February 10, 1964.

It was Australia's worst ever peacetime naval disaster, taking the lives of 82 men. A very unfortunate event.
