Do we have a clear number of how many strategic warheads the Soviets had in '85?

one that can be openly discussed?

I'm trying to do some math here.

Note this includes mobile ICBMs and SLBMs.

My take on the Strategic Rocket Forces for mid-1997: https://docs.google.com/open?id=0B1i...kpXOXhzOUVwTGs

My version of the Soviet SSBN force is at http://mysite.verizon.net/vzeedox4/s...s_t2k_1996.xls

I'll see if I can find my document on the bomber force for T2k.

Enjoy!

I don't think Russia herself has any idea of how many warheads she has anymore...
