New PBEM Campaign - TWL 2000 Ver 1 - Lite
I am starting up a PBEM campaign for Version 1. This will be a lite version where the idea is not to get bogged down on little detail. There will be twice weekly updates. If interested sign up on my forum or pm me.
Basically roll up a ver 1 character and equip with basic gear for your speciality (ie mechanic will have basic tool kit etc) but don't worry about food or other supplies. Also don't worry about a vehicle... you will get to chose one during the opening. http://twl2000hh.forumotion.ca/forum |
Hi,
Will you be looking after the rules aspect of things as GM (rolls, etc)? I'm interested, but have never played v1 (although I do have the original boxed set!) Andrew |
I will have the players roll a bunch of dice ahead of time for some situations and apply the results (ie... i need 20 rolls of d100 - i will put those 20 rolls in order you list them - then when a situation calls for a roll - I roll d20 and use that result from my list)
Ok I'm interested. Did u want me to email u a pdf copy of my character? Also what did u need from me, just a email address?
Add me in too - still have my tank crewman that I rolled up but I weighted him to be specfically a tank crewman after we were told by the GM that we woudl have an M1A1 tank.
I can roll a new one that is more generic. |
I will get to mine straightaway.
Just out of curiosity is a Tankbreaker a personal weapon IYO? :D |
sweet. i will add mine tonight once the rugrats are in bed.

I would have to say .... NO.... but a backpack nuke might be!! |
I'm interested. Do you have an idea or theme for the group? I'm interested in a salvage/recovery crew, with an M-88 and maybe a Humvee and deuce and half. Tank crew would also be fun.

Still looking for a couple of more players.... even if you can't play at this time and have a spare character sitting around please sign up and upload him. We can put him to use.
sorry have been busy and unable to get my stuff into that form - will do it tonight
Captain Samuel Cooke reporting for duty
Put him, the requested dice rolls and a backstory in your forum. |
I will have my PC up today/tonite. Have been super busy.
I am going to do some setup and hope to do the first session by Sunday night (btw I need to know what time zone everyone is in. I am in EST)
EST for me
I'm in MDT (Alberta)
Long time lurker, first time poster. I'd love to take part, so I uploaded Sgt Tyrone Bishop, a pigman. I'm PST, and if I'm not available, feel free to use him regardless. Thanks for putting this together!
Saw him and can use him no problem.
Got my guy and his write-up posted up!
Did you want us to equip them as well? I noticed one character did put up his full equipment. I put up just my main weapons as per your request, which in my case as an officer meant a rifle and a pistol.
Like I said don't worry about equipment... this is a lite version of the game and we will assume you will have the equipment you need to get the job done... anything special will be rolled for.
Delay in starting... will be up tomorrow definately... stepkids and grandkid over so wife says off the computer...
Okay the first day actions are up and your input is needed for what happens next.
Two things - I added my input but cant see the map - is it the same as the original map in the boxed set?
Two - since you said we had whatever equipment we need how are we set for grenades or light anti-tank weapons? |
Wolf - sent you a message about the ammo load on the LAV25 - please take a look at it.

For anyone who would like to join us - this isnt a real time gaming but instead a variation of play by mail where we post our actions on a forum and then the GM does the rolls and tells us what happens and then we go from there.
Definitely have room for more PC's as we only have six. Love to have some more people join us. |
