Chinese PLA vs Wasp nest

Hmmm so a village is harassed by some very aggressive wasps that have allegedly killed one person.

What to do? Use a flamethrower of course! I am most impressed with the second guy who steadies the flame gun on his shoulder!

Linkie!

Sheesh, Bit of an overkill, but it works. "Good Training" I suppose. Musta impressed the hell out of the villagers...Noticed the PLA is STILL using the LPO-50 or some Chinese knockoff.

They've never heard of Raid!? There are industrial-strength versions of Raid!, none that require the fire department to be standing by...

Targan 08-01-2012 03:50 AM

Insane overkill. But quite amusing

Almost afraid to see what they use to take out fire ants...a 5-minute stonk with the battalion mortar platoon?

Jason Weiser 08-01-2012 08:31 AM

Yeah, tell me about it. Or that annoying wolf problem being dealt with by a 122mm battalion TOT barrage...

dunno about overkill

thanks for a most interesting clip.

a wasp nest of killer bees the size of a small car.. a flamethrower seems appropriate imho.

but on to another element - did you guys see the dress/garrison uniforms? Did they remind you of someone elses?

:)

I HIGHLY doubt it was killer bees in China, but it was, go bees!!! But wasps or hornets.. they just keep on stinging. The LAST thing a bee does in HER life is sting.

raketenjagdpanzer 08-01-2012 05:39 PM

I wonder if they immediately went to a report about Taiwan after that...

Au contraire! For that I would be au naturale... or maybe wearing my Batman suit. :D

You know, one of these days...man-sized hornets are going to show up with flamethrowers on their backs and start setting our houses on fire...

Hey, is that a new alternate T2K scenario?
