There is a tablet commercial that ends with the line, "I'm Thomas A Wilks -- humble inventor of an alternate world."

That's fits what we are -- humble inventors of an alternate world.

Actually I'll stick to empirical science, thanks. But I agree we are (or should aspire to be) the Earth's caretakers.

I used to do that to people sometimes -- look at them with cocked eyes and say, "Are the noises in my head bothering you??"
