It's a truck! It's a helicopter!
No, it's the AT Black Knight Transformer, a 4-wheeled truck with eight rotors on outriggers.
https://www.advancedtacticsinc.com/t.../black-knight/ That's one odd critter. |

It kind of reminds me of the "flying tank" experiments the Soviets tried to play with, though it seems with this project they might actually succeed. |

It looks like somebody put rotors on an old Waco glider from World War 2...I have got to stat this one out! |

But for what it's worth: Hey Paul, if we threw some weapons on this truck and the helo that came out of it, any way we could stat it? :p Oh, and as an added bonus, the show did have Jane Badler. |
Never heard of "The Highwayman" until today and so did a little look on the net.
Some of you might be interested to learn that the truck with the Gazelle helo front survived and is operated by a tattoo parlour... well, it IS the tattoo parlour http://thehighwaymanink.com/ And they have photos, http://thehighwaymanink.com/?page_id=141 |
The only Highwaymen I remember was an old series on HBO, which I had to stop watching when I left for the Army...same one? Doesn't seem like...

Yeah, Jacko was an Aussie Rules football player who broke into acting. He was a rough-head but not too obnoxious, more a larrikin than a troublemaker.
What might be of interest to some here is that although born in Victoria, he started playing football for South Fremantle (a suburb of the Perth satellite city of Fremantle). He was a good footie player and used his fame to get into acting and singing. Yes, singing. So to experience the full "Jacko" experience, you have to watch the following: - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g0Q5JFHrGNk If we had to suffer it, so does the rest of the world... :p |

The 80's was interesting -- I graduated from high school in 1980, college in 86, and by 89 I had been in the Army for a couple of years. Lot of living in a short time.
