Do any of our Aussie friends know Mark "Jacko" Jackson? He started getting his fame here in the U.S. doing Energizer battery commercials and then became a regular on this show too. It's because of him a lot of Americans think most Australians like to say "Oy!" :p

Yeah, Jacko was an Aussie Rules football player who broke into acting. He was a rough-head but not too obnoxious, more a larrikin than a troublemaker.
What might be of interest to some here is that although born in Victoria, he started playing football for South Fremantle (a suburb of the Perth satellite city of Fremantle). He was a good footie player and used his fame to get into acting and singing.

The 80s was the time of my late teens/early 20s so I remember the decade with some fondness but there are a few things from that time that now make me cringe or laugh - the video for that song is one of the few that does both!

The 80's was interesting -- I graduated from high school in 1980, college in 86, and by 89 I had been in the Army for a couple of years. Lot of living in a short time.
