Gun truck fans take note: a kit of a HEMTT gun truck
 

For those whose T2K campaigns involved gun trucks of one sort or another, you might want to take a look at this: Italeri models has released a kit in 1/35 scale of a HEMTT gun truck! You heard right, a HEMTT gun truck. Seems several were converted from stock cargo carriers in Iraq, with the scrounged armor. The kit includes two gun mounts for Ma Deuces (M-2 .50 caliber machine guns), and two for Mark-19 AGLs.

Italeri also has a kit for a M-925 "Hillbilly" gun truck, with the improvised gun mounts and "acquired" armor, but in 1/72 scale.

There was a Challenge magazine article about gun trucks, IIRC. It's been a while, and my T2K stuff is temporarily packed away.

Great link! Given the numbers of them that should have been available in 1997, HEMMT gun trucks could be widespread in 2000.

Is it sad that I used to doodle these things in my notepads in high school?

Guys, Italeri has now released the M923 "Hillbilly Armor" gun truck in 1/35.
