WWII tanks still in use in Paraguay

Thought you guys might find this interesting for those wanting to incorporate WWII armor into their game

Paraguay is putting World War II-era M3 Stuarts and M4 Sherman tanks back into service. The country is thought to have three Shermans medium tanks and up to fourteen Stuart light tanks in its inventory.

Only for training but still amazing to see them actually in service this many years after they were built.

The Israelis used the M50 and M51 "Super Shermans" to great effect even in the 60's: 105mm armed Shermans. Also some were refitted with AMX-13 turrets. The M50 and M51s were parted out, and sold to Chile in the 1980s (having served through the '70s) until they were replaced in the 1990s with Leo-1's.

The M3 saw extensive upgrades in Brazil, resulting in the XA1 and XA2, both of which were barely recognizable as Stuarts, sporting 90mm main guns, improved armor, new powerplants, laser rangefinders for the main guns, IR driving lights, and NBC sealing for the crew.

If Paraguay wanted to convert their Shermans and Stuarts thus, they'd have very capable "light" tanks, still.
