Twilight2000 v1-3

Hello,

I played v1 in college, want to get back into playing again

I was looking at buying the 3 versions core sets (physical copy) eBay, Amazon & etc... the prices are outrageous! I'm interested in playing the game NOT building a shrine!

I prefer physical copies but may have to settle for pdf's

I want to incorporate ideas from the different versions and use current events to update timeline

Thanks

Not unusual for limited runs and out of physical print.

I dont know where you live but here in Edmonton ive hit up a few local flea markets with some success and once found some at a garage / yard sale.

But the rest of my materal is either my original stuff circa 1986 or .PDF

It's easy enough to get your local copy shop to print them from the pdf files and a lot of places will bind them as well in a variety of ways.

There are even ways of getting professional quality soft and hardcovers done if you have the right software and can think outside the box.

Also, try Noble Night Games, who are specialists in hard to get and oop games - I have had good luck with them in the past, and they will allow you to input your wish list and then notify you automatically if/when an item on it comes in.

Also, I just checked out ABEBooks and there are a whole lot of TW:2000 supplements available as well as at least one copy of one book of the 1st Edition Core Rules available from various sources, all quite cheap, too,

I am just looking at Noble Knight Games' website and they have ...

1 Copy TW 2000 1st Edition, $10 (Fair)
1 Copy TW 2000 2nd Edition, $50 (Fair/Very Good+)
1 Copy TW 2000 2.2 Edition, $125 (VG/Excellent)

The 1st Edition one looks like a good deal. Even the 2nd Edition, compared to modern RPG prices (here in Oz, anyway) seems not too extortionate.

HOW MUCH!!!???
That's the one and only book I don't have a hardcopy of. I think I'll stick with using a softcopy for that price!

As long as you have a PDF of the book you could run off a lookalike, professionally printed (photocopied) and as either soft or hard cover for under $20 (at a guess) for the former and plus $12 or so for the latter (Black and White, Colour costs a hell of a lot more and is uneconomic).

You'd need Acrobat or a PDF distiller, a Graphics and/or a Page Layout program and its a doddle. I've done it myself for a lot of books available only as PDF or for which shipping from the US was prohibitively expensive.

(Note: I paid for the PDF, so printing it out for personal use is perfectly OK)

Thanks for all the input

I'll check out flea markets & etc; also look into producing a hardcopy from pdf.

Thanks again

MUCH better than $125, and almost worth getting. Almost.

Check out any Half-Price Books in your area. That's where I got my v2 copy.

Try Black and Read in Arvada, CO....... I just saw a soft cover 2.2 on the shelf there last week.
