Router Swapped out.

I think things are working as they should be.

I still have not set up things like firewall settings so there might be some weirdness (reboots/outages/partial loads) over the next few days.

The good thing is the old router can be a replacement (albeit one without wifi) if we ever have a total router failure or a power supply issue.

Next step is the attachment issue, if I have time I will look at it this weekend, but next weekend is more likely.

Thanks for you patience.

I might not post a ton, but I check in and catch up every day or two, so thanks for all you do to keep this site alive, I know we all appreciate it!

My thoughts are perfectly echoed above.

Kato, you should set up a go fund me site. I'll contribute.

Agreed, I'd be happy to help fund the site, if that's something Kato's interested in.

I am only really interested in outside funding if it can create a site where it can stay up even if something catastrophic happens to me.

From an uptime perspective, this forum is a one man show unfortunately, and if I am hit by a bus we have about 60 days to move IMO. I have some contingency plans with some devs I trust, but nothing is 100%.

There are issues that I would like to make sure are covered like
  • Choosing a host I am sure is not going to go under
  • Making sure the site and domain name can be continually paid for
  • Making sure the underlying software does not get updated around us (potential security issue)
  • Something that does not require an administrative contact (hard to do for legal reasons)

If I come across any way to do the above I'll let you guys know.
