Future posting
Since I just got promoted (in real life)(General Pain is his own army commander offcourse) I must sadly say I can't stay here so many hours I used to, real life has come between us hehe....
The good news is that I will earn more money and get free cell-phone and internet mmmmmmm Happy weekend people ;) |
Congratulations General. I have a feeling the the allure of this site will keep you here for more time than you expect ;)

Back to being an explosives technician I guess (although the girlfriend is against that idea). |

Well I will admit I am a tiny bit bummed. My three of my top four posters (Mohoender is MIA) all seem to have real life pulling them away from the site a bit. Still happy for all your new opportunities guys.
As for the rest of our posters I expect you all to pick up the slack :D |

I know you guys are not going to disappear, I was just lamenting a potential drop in your post counts since you post quality stuff.

Hmm when I lost my job at the start of the year I considered going back to work as a private contractor as a EOD tech as well.
The wife had more sense than me and knocked said sense into me with a frying pan. At the end of the day the money would be great but with less and less friendly military units on the ground in Iraq now I have a funny feeling things might turn bad out there again before long. And as to Afghanistan. There is a hell hole I would not go to even if it was the last job on Earth. |
I guess its up to me to pick up the slack from all the re - done - dent ones...
Fortunately for me I am still pulling down 40+ hours a week... but I now work in home renovations and people want to fix it up instead of selling now. Congrats General Pain... but what are you now --- a 2 or 3 star general? Speaking of GF... how many times have you been deeply involved in a game... when SHE wants attention in the bedroom... AND you've put her off!!! |
Congrats on promotions and condolences on layoffs. This last year was not the best I've had in the past twenty either. I left my 'retirement' job in MO and moved back to TX about 18 mo ago and have had more jobs in that time since than I had since '68. I'm now back where I was 8 years ago. But it's a job, and it's really almost like going home with the welcome I get from my old customers. (Customer count is up since I returned three months ago. Don't know if I had anything to do with it, but there are guys that have come in that haven't in a couple of years from what I'm told. Does make one feel wanted at least.)
