Media hysteria! Well think about how and why the Spanish American War was fought? William Randolph Huerst was the one who whipped up the frenzy that caused the war with his yellow journalism. So, it has never changed, its all about the sensationalism.
Now would there be sensationalism and propoganda in the T2K world? Lets come up with some "attrocities" to spur our people to fight! Or by 2000 would they have really happened or would people just no longer care?
