I've been doing some reading, and discovered some of the people who could have been the coup that overthrew Gorbachev and brought with it the 'Black Winter' that kept the communists in power in Eastern Europe... And I was hoping/wondering if anyone else has been able to find hardline communists throughout the Warsaw Pact (and even Yugoslavia and Albania) that would have been part of the conspiracy to pull the 'Black Winter' off...

Yegor Kuzmich Ligachev (born 29 November 1920) is a Russian politician, who was a high-ranking official in the Communist Party of the Soviet Union (CPSU). Originally a protege of Mikhail Gorbachev, Ligachev became a challenger to his leadership.

Fuck being a hero. Do you know what you get for being a hero? Nothing! You get shot at. You get a little pat on the back, blah blah blah, attaboy! You get divorced... Your wife can't remember your last name, your kids don't want to talk to you... You get to eat a lot of meals by yourself. Trust me kid, nobody wants to be that guy. I do this because there is nobody else to do it right now. Believe me if there was somebody else to do it, I would let them do it. There's not, so I'm doing it.
