Turning it into the wind is a bit of a bother though. It does, however, have very little sea movement compared to other carriers making landing somewhat easier. Something other nations could incorporate into their carriers.
I think the French have made a brilliant leap here, consider how many installation crew they have done without. Also, if the carrier is lost, the crew can simply walk away without all that unpleasant drowning/boiled alive stuff going on!
Jokes aside, I like how this is a classic bit of simple solution over a complex juggling of rosters and timetables.
