Ummm....I do not know anything about C4, except that it needs a detonator to go BOOM. I would try to keep any C4 I had to go BOOM if need be. In the few games I played, my characters always had a flint/steel fire starter...works every time if you have dry tinder...less than two ounces for those of us who had to hump all of our stuff from point A to Point B. Just my 2 cents worth....
