In later posts he reveals that his illness has left him in bad financial shape, unable to earn much money and with medical bills totalling nearly $12,000 (not covered by medical insurance). In the post linked to above Loren has added a link to his homepage where there is a PayPal donation button. I know we are in difficult economic times right now but I urge you to help out with a donation if you can. Loren's work has brought us all a great deal of enjoyment and I feel that the donation I have made was the least I could do for such an icon of the RPG industry who has fallen on hard times.
