We've actually recently kicked off the EMP and right now there is a lull in the storm between when everyone just kinda thinks it is a regular power outage then digression to shear panic once everyone realizes that the S*** has in fact hit the fan.

The PC's, probably because I am being an overly generous GM, have a leg up on this info and have already hijacked a 1960s truck and driven to a safe house with all their personal arsenals.

Unfortunately, Atlanta has very little strategic importance besides being the central population hub of Georgia (and some would say the South East). So coming up with a reason for my PC’s to go into that maelstrom rather than hiding out about 20 min north (by car) of ATL is a bit of a problem.

Its possible you’ve just given me the answer, with a relative or good friend that is working in ATL gets in touch with them some how and needs an escort out of the looting, panic, etc that ATL will be.

Then the Chinese/Russians/EU 'peacekeepers' will start showing up via Airdrop and Airplane…not to mention Nat'l Guard still in the area.

Also added is the fact that most likely Milgov and Civgov will split over how to handle the invasion on the West coast and due to lack of communications from DC and Airforce 1 and that will then create some more drama.
