Another interesting fact comes from the braking away from those republics as well. In my own timeline, I use South Ossetia, Abkhazia and Crimea. Crimea IMO is the most interesting event. It attempted to brake away from Ukraine on May 5 1992, establishing its first constitution on the next day. Crimea agreed to remain part of Ukraine only two weeks later in exchange for expended autonomy and under pressure by Moscow. What if...
