Well, it's not the rules system so much, beyond trying to convert weapon and vehicle stats from 2.2 back to 1st edition, while not actually having the 2.2 rulebook. It effectively makes it guesswork.

However, I have added a few house rules from other games to fill out a few things, and I made up my own "Destruction of a body part" rule, based on the damage rules from 1st edition.

From Legbreaker: "If you're after realism you could of course go with something really comprehensive such as Leading Edge's PCCS - tests the best mathematicians though."
Well, Lord knows 1st edition T2K barely used any math in character creation. (I now pause for your hysterical laughter)
Seriously now, I've never heard of this PCCS before. If I could get a chance to take a look at it, I'd give it consideration at least. It might be a good thing, if nothing else it would keep me in practice with my math. I was good at it in school, but as so many school kids love to gripe "I'll never use this in the real world", and for once, they were right.

I don't recall hearing of Gunmaster either, but from the little I've read in a post here, it does sound like a delightfully brutal combat system comes with it. Especially the part about post-combat infections. That sounds like great fun for a GM in a sadistic mood.

I gotta say, even if I'm not getting the answer I wanted, I am glad I started this thread. I haven't found the conversion guide I asked for, but I did learn of two gaming systems I never knew about before. Thanks to you who have replied, and to those who will reply later on.
