The images haven't been manipulated.
The "creation" has been modified so that both pistols eject downwards. You can see two cases below the pistols in the first image and believe me, the people who regularly visit The Firearm Blog sniff out a fake pretty damned quick. It's worth reading through the comments for more information.
I agree totally that the "creation" is utterly mad and ultimately pointless but don't automatically dismiss it as a photoshop without doing some checking first and keep in mind that it's certainly not the first mad and pointless weapons modification that's been done, e.g. the
ChainSAW.
