True, but I believe it's mentioned in the manual those skills are there for those who are creating characters for tabletop play.

Where's the problem with that?

Yes, the vehicle combat interface is very dodgy. But what do you expect from a game that's now 20 years old?

As they damn well should be too! Anything that has an area effect and can take down an enemy just by getting close to them is something everyone should aspire to carry. My only gripe (besides being able to carry and fire one handed) about the AGS and Mk-19 in the game is that you can only fire them one round at a time and not in bursts!

Some of the crates
require a truck. If you don't ave a driver with high skill, you chew through the fuel and therefore some of the missions cannot be completed. Those supplies which can be carried on the character only have a listed weight of 10kgs (22 lbs) so I don't see any major issue there.

Not quite. In 2.0, a low stat meant it cost twice as much to increase the skill above the level of the controlling stat. In the game however, yes, there's not a lot of use.

Which can't be had in the field. MUST send the badly wounded character back to base or risk interuption and further injury. Medical skill will however help...

Same can be said for table top play. In fact, I've lost count of the number of characters in different game systems (not just T2K) which players create using just that formula or a variation of it.
