I had Sprint Desktop Wireless 4g Unlimited and it, too, sucked. NEVER EVER got over 7mbit. NEVER EVER uploaded faster than 256k.
About a year in got a C&D when it FAILED during my wife's finals (she's doing her Masters online) and got told we were using too much bandwidth!
Got Roadrunner back a week ago and haven't had a problem.
