Okay, here's my sheet and the back story.

Background:
As part of the security force for the 7th Army's IRBMs, the 2-4 Infantry spend most of the early stages of the war on the move with the rest of the 56th Artillery Command dispersing their Pershing II missiles to their launch sites. After the nuclear exchange, however, the surviving artillerymen were converted to infantry joining the 2-4 Inf to form Task Force Redleg. Len joined the battalion before the war and was a Sergeant by the time the new 'Task Force' moved east into combat.

The artillery, not being trained well for field operations let alone infantry combat, surprisingly did a decent job as front line soldiers managing to at least not be rendered combat ineffective. However, when the hammer of the Soviet counterattack hit the XI Corps most of the remaining redlegs were killed. Len's squad was accompanying a supply convoy when the battalion was hit. He managed to extricate the convoy and head back towards Kalisz where most of the squad dispersed in an attempt to make their way back to Germany.

Task Force Redleg
-2/4th Infantry
-1/9th Field Artillery (Pershing)
-3/9th Field Artillery (Pershing) (Formed from 2nd and 4th battalion survivors)
-55th Support Battalion (+38th Signal battalion)
-193rd Aviation Company
