Back when I was a young PFC in the Army, I was reading a copy of Army Times where they were talking about possible weapons for the far future (by 2100). One of them was a new sniper bullet -- a micronuke based on Californium-252. They gave the example of a 7.62mm bullet able to destroy a 3-story building. Interesting idea, but I can't see how a nuke that small could be engineered -- or why it would even be necessary. And of course, Californium-252 now costs about $100,000 per tenth of a microgram, and has a half-life measured in weeks...
