Sounds like it might have been the vehicle identification guide. Just my guess. But I agree, the used stores are a great source. My fav was/is Half Priced Books and Records. They're a chain, but they have LOADS of books on about every subject imaginable. Several years ago I picked up a set of Jane's (88-90 era) for $10 each. Of course I layed out close to a hundred bucks to get them all, BUT that was about 10 cents on the dollar for what they cost originally. I also picked up my second copy of the BYB there.. and many more. IT was/is a place I like to hit when I make the journey. I can spend hours in there. I just moved back into decent driving range for one, so I shall be back soon.. just have to watch it now since I don't have much book room or budget.
