I've wondered about the spring for the latch under combat conditions. I really like my Pacific Canvas and Leather left hand M7 shoulder, M1916 hip, M1912 cav holsters. Also the discontinued Bianchi 100 General's holster, the leather variant of the M12 is pretty good too!
