Thanks Muti, that probably was me!

That was a translation of a draft of a book in Russian that was posted on orbat.com. I used it as the basis for my Pact orbats (at my site at http://mysite.verizon.net/vzeedox4/id18.html ). I took out the non-combat units, researched plausible unit ID's for the ?'s, did a bunch of research to eliminate as many errors as I could (it was a draft and some units were listed twice or more!) and updated the equipment to match the v1 vehicle guides.

If you're interested, the guy who translated it has a web site now where he's detailed most of the Soviet military except the Army. He does have the border guards, Spetsnaz and airborne troops, along with the Navy, Frontal Aviation, the PVO and the Strategic Rocket Forces. Its at http://www.ww2.dk/new/newindex.htm

I love the smell of napalm in the morning. You know, one time we had a hill bombed, for 12 hours. When it was all over, I walked up. We didn't find one of 'em, not one stinkin' body. The smell, you know that gasoline smell, the whole hill. Smelled like... victory. Someday this war's gonna end...
