A soft-sided canteen designed to be worn as a backpack (it can be used in conjunction with a rucksack and/or LBE). Two sizes are available (2 and 4-liter). Hydration systems include a flexible drinking tube to allow rapid access to the water while on the move.

Chemlight Weight: (per box of 12 lightdiscs) 0.5kg,

A small tube filled with two chemicals separated by a thin membrane. When the tube is flexed, the membrane breaks and the chemicals mix, creating a dim light source. Chemlights are available in red, green, yellow, orange and blue. A chemlight glows at maximum intensity for three hours (visible at 100 meters or at the maximum range for a night vision device) and at half intensity for nine hours. Merely placing the chemlight in a pocket will conceal the light.
Another variety of chemlight, the Brightstick, will produce a very bright light for 30 minutes (visible at 250 meters). Brightsticks are only available in white or yellow.
High-intensity chemlights produce 5 minutes of extremely bright light, the first minute of which is dazzling. They are only available in red.
Infrared chemlights function as normal chemlights, but are only visible to night vision devices.
Lightdiscs are simply a 100mm wide diameter disc-shaped chemlight. They may be written upon and are most often used as markers. They glow for up to four hours and are only available in green.

Chemlight Case Weight: Negligible
A plastic tube used to hold a chemlight. Twisting the endcap turns a shutter which blocks as much of the chemlight’s glow as desired.

Entrenching Tool Weight: 1.28kg
An all steel tri-fold shovel with a rubber carrying case. The handle will screw down to lock the blade in place. The “e-tool” can be used as either a mattock or as a shovel. The blade has two sawtooth edges to cut through roots.

Field Soap Weight: Negligible
A natural, hypoallergenic, antibacterial soap designed for odor control. It doesn’t get mushy, repels insects and lasts up to three times longer than other soaps. Softens hard water and is conditioned with 25% glycerin to help relieve dry skin. Issued in packs of four with a resealable bag.

Firestarter, Magnesium Weight: 0.09kg
A small block of magnesium used to start fires. A knife is scrapped along one side to create shavings, which are then ignited by scraping the blade along the built-in sparking rod. Designed to light under the dampest conditions.

Krill Light Weight: 0.1kg
Basically, an electronic version of a chemlight. Powered by a single AA-sized power cell and fitted with an LED bulb. Available in red, green, orange, yellow, blue and white. Two versions are available: the Krill-180 (with variable luminosity) and the Extreme Krill (twice as bright as the standard Krill). The Krill-180 will last up to 120 hours on a single charge, while the Extreme Krill will last for up to 50 hours. The Krill-180 is slightly brighter than a chemlight.

Leatherman Multitool Weight: 0.4kg
An all-purpose multitool made from heavy gauge 440 stainless steel. M-1 NBC Kit Weight: 0.79kg
A combination detector set and treatment kit for chemical and biological agents as well as providing some radiation protection. The kit will sound an alarm (audio or vibrate) if it detects and dangerous chemicals within a 5-meter area. If pressed against the body, it will automatically inject the proper antidote (the kit contains six doses). It will also detect and measure as well as maintain a cumulative record of the amount of radiation that the wearer has been exposed too. The alarm will also sound if the radiation count goes up above the normal background level.

M-17A1 Chemical Protective Mask Weight: 1.3kg
This is a standard protective mask that will provide protection from any chemical and most biological agents that have to be inhaled in order to be effective. The filters will last up to a year under normal conditions before replacement is necessary. In the event of a chemical attack with blood agents, the filters must be replaced as soon as possible. The mask has a built-in microphone and an attachment that will the wearer to drink from canteen will still wearing the mask. The mask comes with a canvas holder that is normally strapped to one leg and contains one set of spare filters, a lens-cleaning kit, a personal decontamination and a weapons decontamination kit.

Para-Cord 550 Weight: 0.22kg
A continuous-filament nylon shroud that covers inner nylon cords. The inner cords may be used in an emergency for sewing repairs, fishing line, snares, etc. It cannot be used for rappelling or any type of weight support. Strength tested to a breaking point of 249kg.

Personal Hygiene System Weight: 0.45kg
Designed to provide a means of bathing when water or other bathing systems are not available. Each pack contains eight 9”x9” non-woven, biodegradable cotton-blend wash cloths that contain an evaporating cleanser solution of water, non-ionic surfactants, Vitamin E, dexpanthenol and a mild citrus fragrance.
