Its quite fine and a good source of inspiration if you want to create a scenario in that region, Lordroel. Not "OT" at all.
As a matter of fact, i used the Dead Zone as background for a scenario similar to "Ride with the devil" (1999 western-movie from Ang Lee, which i liked) (Union= superior FBU-Army/ Nederlandse/german partisans= southern bushwhackers), and used quite a lot of your setting. Greetings

One scenario that is playing in my head is about a agent belonging to the Dienst Bijzondere Opdrachten (English: Service of Special Assignments, DBO) who has orders to head towards French occupied Netherlands to drop of some supplies while being chased by the South-Netherlands Army (French: L'Armée du Pays-Bas Sud, Dutch: Zuid-Nederlands Leger, ZNL) and the French General Directorate for Internal Security (French: Direction générale de la sécurité intérieure, DGSI).
