Default The Soviet Commander grew tired of the Fascist Partisans

Ancestor: Glad you like it. I waxed back and forth between Poland and Germany. I finally made it Germany as according to Cannon the Poles were loyal WarPac allies and the Germans deserters. You can see from my title I originally had it in Poland.

I figure the Commander of the X Guards Army or whatever formation had just taken over a piece of German real estate. He quickly grew tired of the sullen resistance of the local Germans including sabotage and partisan attacks. He looked at all the comparitively nice houses and farms and remembered the "Loyal Soviet citizens" in the refugee camps and arranged for some to be shipped to him. Then with no notice he 'turned out' the Germans, or worse yet, shipped them east on the same trains that brought the Soviet citizens out, to serve as "Guest Workers" cleaning up radioactive ruins.

This could be a surprise to the PCs. They (being mostly NATO soldiers) approach civilians in a German town, expecting them to be reasonably friendly. Not die hard Soviet citizens with thier own militia.
