I met him once when I visited what passed for GDW in Bloomington. Just drove up there on a lark, introduced myself, and he and his people (including one female) grilled me on the military, the psychology of the military, one gun vs another, how different firearms shoot (and they thought it great that I could shoot a Dragon). I did try to tell him about shooting TOWs over water...

He struck me as one of those people with boundless energy, asked more questions than anyone else there, and recorded the entire discussion and questions and answers.

I asked what they were doing, and he causally motioned to a large table with a world map on it. Did I possibly see the Great Game in progress? He didn't describe it much.
