Short answer - EXTREMELY unlikely. The weapon appears to be designed specifically for pistol ammo and the very complexity of the weapon (it's still in development isn't it?) means you're going to have to do a lot more than change barrels and mags.
Given a few years, a few tens of thousands of dollars, and a decent design team, maybe, but for a single person in their backyard shed?
And what's wrong with .45 ACP for the short ranged stuff anyway? It might not have the power and range of a rifle round, but the weapon isn't designed to be much more than a PDW from what I can see.
