Default Might be worth showing to players indulging in a little FIBUA.

ReHerakhte 11-26-2005, 07:09 PM G'Day Tigger,

Very interesting website.

Personally, I think Players who have only learnt about firearms from watching the movies should read through the whole site because the site owner has tested the penetration of various rounds through a lot of different materials.

For me, some of the more interesting pages are: Ballistic Resistant Glass, Sandboxes, Magazines vs Rifle Rounds, Fragmentation Armour and Level IIIA Armour.

It might not be the most scientific of studies but it sure as hell is an eye-opener!

For the front page, go to: -

Milano 11-26-2005, 08:57 PM For what it is worth, I have experiance with blowing locks off. I can say with out reservations that while this Box o' Truth site is corect, that with a little prep it's not hard at all.. an example of how I did it one time inpaticular.

Although not as heavy duty as the 2 inch he used, it was a Master Lock that was alittle smaller than that one. It is the common size that most would use to lock barns, sheds, etc. Anyway, if you get quarted away from the door and prop or tape the lock at 90 degrees you can reliably shoot the top portion of the lock. One time inpaticular I had to use a Winchester 1873 carbine in .44-40. With one shot I bounced the lock portion off the steel door and left only the U-shaped portion hanging. The lock it's self dented the door about a half inch. Trust me it works REALLY well and it is the most/only reliable way of shooting locks.
