I had to do some digging for my saved copies, but Wayne over at Wayne's Books (who is a damn fine
bookseller and
GM and deserves your business) has some archived information about The Game, the mega-scale game that GDW staff played to develop the timeline between the Twilight War and 2300AD:

I recommend saving local copies of those pages in PDF in case they disappear some day. I don't know if GDW ever planned to develop and package The Game as a product, but at the very least, it's an interesting look into their history.
