Good point remind me of one thing also. How long can a building stand without care? I think a recent study had been made on this (civilian buildings of course). From memory I recall that a concrete building would live about 10 years. Skyscrapers would do better with their metal frames and glasses (about 50 years or so) but they have a very weak point (windows get easily broken: windy). Stone buildings will stand the longer when they are well made (a few centuries if i'm not mistaken). They are also the one that you can fix with more ease. Of course wood or mud houses tend to disapear quickly but they are also the easiest to keep in shape.
