One very interesting commodity which would be in high demand in a T2k canon world would be Zeolites (found near the bottom of the list). It's use as a filter is one of the easiest methods of producing pure alcohol. This would be necessary if alcohol is to be used in vehicles and standard distillation would only get you to 95%.
