tanks,apcs,airdeffense,fueltrucks,supplytrucks, armored troops,elite troops and regulars - maybe a few VTOLs (remake of WW2 kügelblitz) - problem is that enemy forces are a lot bigger...so we have to be cunning...hehe

Well, though not used in Spain, the term “Atascadero†in the Spanish of Mexico means a difficult place in a route, a place where you probably will get stuck for a time due to the conditions of the road. It seems appropriate in your case.
