I prefer the method actor, too. Then, you can play with your character accordingly to the idea that you have in your head about it. And as GM I prefer that my players act method actors, too, though I recognize that everybody has certain tendencies depending on each one's personality. Every GM running games with a fixed group of players in different games is able to assign one adjective to each player that can be applied to all the characters of that players in all the games. I think that the other "papers" suggested in the poll involve fixes attitudes in the players, and it can be boring, especially if it's an old group used to play together without the always refreshing contribution of new blood. Method actors are much more entertaining and surprising than the tactician, power gamer, etc. Perhaps it's only and ideal, but they are the true salt of the ropleplaying and they can incentive the dynamic of an entire group.
