Adding a twist to the OP's AAR (which I like).
One of the mortar crew are captured (tripped and twisted ankle/hurt in misfire/clipped by stray round) and when interrogated it is discovered he has vital skills the remaining NATO group miss (maybe they lost their medic/engineer/demolitions etc man in the fight?). Adds spice to the party to have a Warsaw Pact player charachter within the group.
