I'd just like to say "Thanks For Your Service" to all the veterans in the forum (including non-US ones). To those of you who tried to serve and could not; I would also extend a "Thanks For Trying To Serve." The fact that one would even try to volunteer to go "In Harm's Way" speaks volumes about one's character....
So...Once again, Thank You For Service (or attempted service)! Swag. |

From someone who wanted to serve, but was turned down, thanks to the vets, and a "you're welcome" to the OP.
I had a professor who wrote a letter of recommendation for me when I was trying to get into both Navy and AF OCS, and when I was turned down, he had a saying that he considered appropriate, and I do use it from time to time: "Involuntary civilian."
