10 Years Later - After the end of the Twilight War
Marc thread got me thinking.... What would the world be like say ten years later after the end of the events in the books... say in the year 2010.
Who won between the Milgov and the Civgov? Is there a whole new superpower in Europe? And what happened to the great cities of the world after they got nuked? The best book I've read so far on the after effects was "War Day" by Whitley Strieber and James Kunetka. Any ideas or thoughts? Maybe make it like a journal style... November 11, 2010. My Son. I am taking you on this day that World has degreed as WORLD MEMORIAL DAY to the shrine dedicated to all those American's that died on that horrific Thanksgiving Day so many years ago.

Check out GDW's 2300AD game. It takes place in the same "universe" and gives a detailed summary of how things played out after the Twilight war.

I treat T:2300's history as canon for the Twilight:2000 universe.

Any chance somebody could post the 2300 history?

If Kato says it is okay from a copyright POV I'll post it as Word docs (I don't have Adobe Acrobat otherwise I'd post it as PDFs).

As do I. To me it only makes sense since it was written by the same crew specifically as a follow on game for Twilight.

You can read what the DC Group is working towards with the Recovery Plan and Jason Weiser's piece on the Milgov-Civgov reconciliation.
We'll be developing those concepts farther in the Survivor's Guide to the USA...

I love the smell of napalm in the morning. You know, one time we had a hill bombed, for 12 hours. When it was all over, I walked up. We didn't find one of 'em, not one stinkin' body. The smell, you know that gasoline smell, the whole hill. Smelled like... victory. Someday this war's gonna end... |
