Default Hardcore Game

I will be starting a Hardcore game in the Spring of 2011. I will be doing alot of work for this in advance background and other wise. I will be putting this together and will hire a GM to manage this while its run. will be using rpol.net as host.

The unit will be A co 3d Battalion 172 infantry Regiment VT National Guard. The game will follow this unit from mobilization to combat in norway and into Germany then beyond. Character will play themselfs as they would fit into the united states army of the third world war. so if you were a regular army guy at the time you would be that rank in the guard and would just have left active service for the civilian world. If you are a school teacher in say london or perth then you would be a school teacher in vermont with 1 term of NG service. this would allow people from all over the world to come and play and express there thought of a character. this would make no munchkins and make this a very realistic hardcore game....

Myself I would have a term of active service...1992-1996 with then transfering to NG working a civie job until war starts. I was a united states Marine so I will equate this to being a member of 101st div,82nd div or 10th Mountian and since i served in combat would find a unit that did from the army at this time 10th mountian .....somalia....and so on. If you are interested in playing a year from now contact me I will send updates and info....

Once again this will be a hard core game no female pattons that are medical officers that speak six langauges and have six blackbelts and are also part time sinpers and forward observers....

And yet the character you're referring to was rolled up according to the rules by an earlier player....
FYI it's only four languages and although very skilled in unarmed combat, her weapons abilities leave a bit to be desired.

All that matters is that it is not something he wants in his game.
His game his decision, it is that simple.

Of course it is, nobody is saying otherwise.

People that are close to me told me this place was cleaned up.... I'm back three miniutes and I get sniped? I was laying ground rules for a game and not talking to you. so please dont talk too me. I here for recreation not a gun fight.... I do that in my day job.

Any more off board stuff coming onto my forum and I am going to add each of you to each other's ignore list. Maybe you guys should each consider doing that.

This should be applied in both directions

So are we all, needless antagonism is going to spoil it for everybody, not just the people involved in the discussion

Good luck with the game, but I think waiting a year for it to start is too long. Anything could happen in a year and likely many who volunteer now will be unavailable by then. I strongly suggest you don't recruit more than three months in advance.

Ah, saw a post of his in another thread, now I think I understand the one year delay. Yeah, probably would be a good a idea to bump the thread later.
