Roadrunners (aka “I Am a Stupid Fluffnoggin”)
Progress on Roadrunners is agonizingly slow. I make awful choices. I worked hard for two days to create a free evening last night. What did I do? I invested the entire evening composing a piece for the NPR comment board explaining that teachers aren’t shiftless s***bags bilking the public out of hard-earned tax money. No one who has made up their mind already will be convinced of anything contravening their existing narrative. All I accomplished was the expenditure of time I could have used for writing Roadrunners. I’m a fool.

Hey man, don't punish yourself for caring about your job, there's too few people who care about teaching now so those of you who do are important.
As for the time you spent when you wanted to achieve something else, well at the least, you got something out of your system that needed to be said and when you do write the piece for Roadrunners, it'll be appreciated all the more because we here know how much time and effort you put into it |
