Default Twilight: 1945

I've seen some small tidbits about WWII weapons in the weapons guides for both v1 and v2.X, but does anyone have any sort of stats for WWII-era vehicles and equipment?

I'm interested because I've had an inkling to run some sort of WWII scenario using the T2k system. I'm more partial to v1, but I'm flexible.

Thanks for the help!

there are some WWII vehicles listed on http://www.pmulcahy.com - for instance I have seen the Stuart tank, the IS and T-34 Soviet tanks and the Sherman (as the Super Sherman) listed in varioius places

Its all 2nd edition in style but a good place to start

Hmmm, an interesting idea.....

Massive Soviet Armies...

American, British, French and Canadian units at basically full strength...

MAYBE....

The Nagisaki bomb is diverted to Europe????

IIRC in August, 1945, the USA had THREE (3) bombs. One they used as a test, one on Hiroshima, that leaves one.....

Then there are the defeated remnants of the German Army wondering along, most of them DESPERATE to get to the West....

This could be a GREAT game!!!!!

My $0.02

Mike

Something to that effect, yeah!

My idea revolved around Operation OLYMPIC+CORONET (part of DOWNFALL), the proposed invasion of Japan should things go south that quickly. One of the proposed plans was to send in the troops after some 'nuclear artillery' strikes on the beaches! At least they could see in the dark easily

A long time ago, one of the members of an earlier T2k forum ran the following page (now only available on the Internet Wayback Machine) devoted to WW2
http://web.archive.org/web/200907292...00ww2main.html

He used Version 2.2 and never got to finish the site but it has a healthy number of military vehicles and a small arms page (though only with German and US weapons done)

However, the guy who did the page was also a firefighter and produced some rules for calculating fire (like how fast it will burn and so on) that are well worth keeping

Ran one during a Coastcon were the players were the survivors of a platoon-strength OP on the Our River in December 1945...just overrun by the Fifth Panzer Army...

Nothing like playing tag with Volksgrenadiers in the Ardennes in the winter!

I’ve been doing WWII campaigns for the past two years, so I have quite a bit of stuff. Most of what I have is in Excel spreadsheets, so if you have Excel I can send you what I use.

I have stats for about 40 small arms (mostly German and US, but some Brit and USSR). I have these in Twilight 2000 and Twilight 2013 format. I have a US equipment list, but all the weights are in pounds.

For vehicle stats I have jeeps, 1 ½-ton truck, M-8, M-20, and PSW-222 armored cars, M-3 and M-4 halftracks, M-4A1, M-4A3, M-4A3E8, and M-5A1 tanks.

I came up with a separate process for handling tank and antitank fire. I use armor and penetration stats from the Steel Panthers World at War computer game. This allows me to include pretty much any WWII vehicle in a firefight, but the armor stats I have don’t directly translate to Twilight 2000.

I also have quite a bit of TO&E and AAR stuff in PDF format if you’re interested in doing a historical campaign. I mostly have 1943-45 infantry, tank, mortar, artillery, and TD info - not much for airborne/ranger/commando-type units.

Mostly I have done the 90th Infantry, 4th Armored, and 14th Armored Divisions. I have also done the 705th TD Bn. I rolled up some characters for a few prospective German campaigns, but none of those ever got started.
