Unhappy

Now those pics are depressing. All that good military hardware abandoned and rusting away.

Could you imagine a small group of soldiers stumbling upon something like this during T2K? I think that the area would become an instant firefight as everyone who is anyone tries to gain control of the salvage rights.

This could be how salvage becomes an early cottage industry.

Salvage wise I wonder exactly how much would truly be salvagable. Its a given that a lot of parts are removed almost as soon as those tanks were parked. Firing pins, starters, etc would be removed off the bat just on the off chance someone shows up to drive off with one, and its easy to see several engines have been pulled and stacked. A salvage operation would have to be pretty big just to get some of those running and that's not taking into account water damage and animal damage and malicious kids.

Just think, in the T2k timelines, most of those tanks were likely earmarked for use during a war and were either operational or intended to be within week if not days.

It might be easier to pick a hulk and put parts from damaged vehicles on it!
