Default Good Biohazard Reference?

I'm thinking of Ebola, Marsburg, Mad Cow specifically. Mad Cow would be for my "Rager" zombies(Ala Zombieland). Then I pick Europe or Asia, though beef from S. America might work. The continent is for which hub airport to start with, but that might be another thread......

The TV show "Millennium" had a scenario involving a Marburg like prion initially spread by birds.

Default Missed it by _that_ much!

I fooled around with the thought of retrovirus-caused plague: twisting a potentially-effective treatment for ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease) together with a treatment for Alzheimer's Syndrome. It could be "Rage Zombie" source.

There is a lot of room to work with here, it was only one paragraph.

I would suggest reading "Under a graveyard Sky" by John Ringo. Ringo is a Marine Biologist and at least a couple of people he knows have the training to deal with Bioweapons.

Sample Chapters
