Default Rocket-Propelled Bowling Ball

The RAW is a neat weapon that almost was. I've read that the USMC acquired and fielded a quantity, but I haven't been able to find out how many or if they're still in the US military inventory. It's goofy looking and I'm not sure how effective it would have been against front-line Soviet MBTs, but it would certainly be effective against lighter AFVs and field fortifications.

Has anyone ever encountered the RAW in their T2K campaign? I'm sure Paul's done a write-up and statted it out.

I can see the Brunswick company selling the Chinese on the RAW and putting it into mass production. When the U.S. enters the war, there are already thousands of RAWs rolling off production lines.

Absolutely. They're the "go to" AT round for most players in my experience.

The one thing not mentioned with the RAW weapon system is the launcher you need to shoot them. It is an aluminum "cup and rail" that connects to both the bayonet lug and the weapon's muzzle. This launcher taps off gas from a fired round and uses that gas to ignite the grenade's rocket motor. The launcher's silhouette is shown in the Heavy Weapons Handbook, and I understand that it was bulky (+1 Bulk) but light (at about 0.2 kg). You would need to have the launcher to use these grenades and the launchers were rare.
